The weather was great, the atmosphere was electric and the game was open, entertaining and played in good spirit. The only downside was the fact that NPBHS played better than we did and ran out comfortable winners 44 to 10. A couple of soft tries made the score look worse than the performance was, but there is no denying that NPBHS have a good side this year and can expect good things in their Super 8 competition.
Our boys now play St Bernard's in Wellington next Wednesday and are back to Masterton on Saturday to play Rathkele in the first of our Central North Island games. The boys are very keen to get back into that winning habit. As for NPBHS, well there is always next year.
