There can't be too many schools in the country, or anywhere for that matter, who have the use of a 10 ton roller for keeping the cricket pitch flat and bouncy. FDMC does have access to such a piece of equipment thanks to the generous support of old boy Simon (Syd) Mulligan and his company Taranaki Civil Construction.
Taranaki Civil are storing this rather large piece of groundsman gear at the college and have made it available for us to use as required. Wicket curator and staff member Peter Ingram is very excited about the roller and the quality cricket pitches it will help him prepare.
Just another example of our old boys supporting their old school.
