Thanks to Bill Kilkolly for these photos of the early days of Cadets at the College. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and a bit of rifle practice.
Today saw us honour our current academic achievers in our annual Academic Colours Assembly. We were fortunate to have old boy Matthew Bell give the keynote address which was well received by all. Matthew attended FDMC between 1974 and 1979 and knows a little about academic achievement as he was the College Dux in 1979. Matthew is currently living in Wellington where he is a Senior Analyst for the Treasury, specialising in areas such as the impact of taxes and future budgeting.
We are currently on the lookout for old photos from the College's past. This page is from the Photo News in 1966 showing our cadets on parade. If you have old photos of the College (up until the very recent past) we would really appreciate you emailing them to us here so they can be added to our archive database.
