Yesterday saw the annual 1st and 2nd XV fixture with our brother school De La Salle College in Mangere. We travelled north to Auckland this year and were very warmly received and very well looked after. The weather was not so kind with torrential rain throughout most of the two games. In the end we came up short on the score board with the 1st XV going down 26 to 7 and the 2nd XV 30 to 10, but both teams were up for the challenge and gave a good account of themselves. It was great to see a number of old boys who were able to get along and support despite the very wet conditions.
The Lasallian spirit remains strong between both colleges and we look forward to next year's encounter back in the Naki.
